• Gerald Mitchell 1933-2025 (mariescountyadvocate.com) — Family and friends in Bland and Belle are mourning 92-year-old Gerald “Olin” Mitchell, a longtime area resident active in the Belle/Bland Saddle Club and several local churches and organizations. Remembered for his love of horses, hunting, and meals at Granny’s in Bland, he leaves a large family and a legacy of community involvement; services will be announced later.
