If you're looking for a place to get started, we've rounded up five fun things to do in the Eureka-Wildwood area before the kids head back to school. Pro tip: Call ahead to confirm hours and access, stay hydrated, and if you're heading outdoors, bring plenty of SPF and bug spray!

Even though itβs off-season for Brookdale Farms, you can still catch some summer fun with a float trip, thanks to Eureka Floats! Rent a raft or tube for a three-hour, four-mile excursion, available at multiple times Wednesdays through Sundays. Grab the family for a camping trip at Jellystone Park Resort, with lodgings ranging from bring-your-own-tents to comfortable two-bedroom cottages. 3. Kircher Park

Kircher Park is a great place to take the kids for the afternoon, featuring playgrounds, grills and walking/biking trails. You can also bring your equipment for a game on the disc golf course. Down the road in Town and Country, Myseum is an interactive museum designed specifically for children aged 2-12. Hands-on exhibits include the dino dig, the zoo vet clinic and alien landscapes.
