5 Things to Know About This Week in Eureka and Wildwood

1)Β The Wildwood City Council has a full agenda for its work session and regular session Monday night, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively. The council will vote on allowing outdoor music at the Big Chief Restaurant, approving repairs for the water fountain at Town Center Plaza and the purchase of a new reader board to advertise city events.

2)Β There are people who love roller coasters and then people who really, really love roller coasters. Six Flags St. Louis has challenged a group of over 200 people to ride all line of the park’s coasters for nine hours on WednesdayΒ as part of a special overnight contest. 3) Bring your four-legged friend to West Frisco Park in Eureka Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. for Yappy Hour, hosted by the Eureka Parks and Recreation Department. The event features live entertainment and a photo booth with snacks for dogs and humans alike. Β

4) Do you find your recycling container overflowing each week? Thanks to a grant obtained by the solid waste hauler for the City of Wildwood, Meridian Waste Services, new, larger carts for recycling are now available to the city’s residents. If you would like to reserve one of the 95-gallon containers, call Merdian at 314-291-3131.

5) This Friday is the final deadline for all aspiring photogs out there to submit their entry’s for Wildwood’s annual photo contest. Check out this previous story for a complete list of rules and more information on how to enter.
