Eureka-Wildwood is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Eureka-Wildwood has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.

A few things to know:

  • Hidden Valley Ski Resort, located in Wildwood, is not just a winter destination. In the summer months, the resort offers ziplining, tubing and other fun activities. Plus, the view from the top of the ski hill is simply breathtaking.
  • The Al Foster Memorial Trail, named after a former mayor of Wildwood, is a popular hiking and biking trail that runs along the Meramec River. The trail covers over five miles of scenic views and is a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors.
  • Eureka is just a short drive to the World Bird Sanctuary, a unique attraction that rescues and rehabilitates birds of prey from around the world. Visitors can see eagles, owls, hawks and other birds up close, and even watch them fly during daily shows.
  • The Eureka Historical Society hosts regular events and tours of local landmarks, like the old Salem Cemetery. Visitors can learn about the area's fascinating history and the people who shaped it.
  • Wildwood is a city that appreciates and supports the arts. The city organizes various art events and exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the talent of local artists and providing opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with different forms of art.
