Man Empties Mother's Bank Account, She's Evicted From Eureka Nursing Home
Andrew Limanni told investigators he was attempting to get his mother to qualify for Medicaid to pay her nursing home bills.

An Affton man is accused of misappropriating his elderly motherβs funds, resulting in his mother being evicted from a nursing home in Eureka.
Andrew Limanni, 59, of the first block of Grantwood Lane in Affton, was charged Thursday with misappropriation of funds of an elderly nursing home resident.
Investigators with the Missouri Department of Health said Limanni took charge of his motherβs finances and signed Geraldine Limanni into Marymount nursing home in Eureka in August 2011.

Officials said Limanni signed documents accepting financial responsibility for her care but then made no payment on her behalf. An investigation showed he had withdrawn nearly $14,000 in cash from his motherβs bank account between Nov. 2011 and October 2012.
According to court documents, Limanni told investigators he had βsecretedβ his motherβs funds in an attempt to qualify her for Medicaid to pay for nursing home care.

Limanniβs mother was evicted from the nursing home in September 2012 due to nonpayment. She passed away in March 2013.
Warrants have been issued for Limanni, and bail was set at $10,000.
