Multiple Police Agencies Conducting DWI Crackdown in August
The Eureka Police Department, the St. Louis County Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have all announced enforcement efforts.

Local law enforcement agencies will be in out in full force this month to crackdown on drunk drivers.Β
The St. Louis County Police, the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and the Eureka Police Department have all announced plans to conduct sobriety checkpoints and other DWI enforcement programs in August.Β
- The Highway Patrol said its efforts will include saturation patrols and checkpoints andΒ are part of a "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign that will run from Aug. 16-Sept. 2.
- County police did not indicate when, but said sobriety checkpoints performed by specially trained officers will be conducted throughout the month.Β
- In Eureka, police will be running a sobriety checkpoint somewhere within the city limits on Friday, Aug. 23.Β
"The Missouri State Highway Patrol is very serious about removing impaired drivers from ourΒ roadways," said MSHP Capt. RonaldΒ Johnson. Β "If drinking alcohol is a part of your plans, please choose a sober designated driver."
