'Tis the Time of Year for Back-to-School Shopping

There's plenty to see and do for the weekend of Aug. 2-4 in Eureka, Wildwood and the surrounding area.

We've rounded up some of the best events for you and your family this weekendΒ and outlined the details in the list below. Β 

1) With the Missouri’s tax-free weekend taking place this Friday-Sunday, β€˜tis the time of year for back-to-school shopping, so check out the details here. If you’re looking to freshen up your wardrobe, then you’ll want to head in to Chesterfield, where the Taubman Prestige Outlets are set to open Friday.

2) Cheer on the Eureka’s American Legion baseball team from Post 177 as they continue the season’s remarkable run, advancing to the state finals for the first time in their history. The four-team, double elimination tournament actually begins Thursday with a 7 p.m. match against Jefferson City and will continue into the weekend.

3) It may be hard to believe, but August means summer is starting to come to a close, so make sure you check out the Wildwood Farmer’s Market while there’s still time. It’s under new management this year and bringing a renewed focus on local producers. The market is open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., rain or shine, at the plaza in Town Center.

4) If you are looking for some music this weekend, then head to the Chesterfield Amphitheater Saturday for an evening of Southern Rock with β€œGuitars on Fire.”

5) Animal lovers will want to attend The Cat Network’s Trivia Night Saturday at Queeny Park in Ballwin. Proceeds from the benefit will go toward the completion of an adoption center. Β
