• P and Z recommends denial of proposed Fenton apartment complex (myleaderpaper.com) — A proposed 184-unit East Lark Apartments complex near Fenton has been recommended for denial by Jefferson County’s Planning and Zoning Commission over traffic and road-maintenance concerns, leaving the final decision to the County Council next month. Several Fenton-area residents argued the project would worsen safety on East Lark Drive and nearby highways, while the developer maintains similar impacts would occur under current single-family zoning.
   

• Official notice: Colloquies (Jan. 2026) (lcms.org) — A Fenton resident, Cordell Schulten, has formally applied to enter the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s general pastoral colloquy program, a key step toward ordained ministry. The same notice lists numerous other applicants and recent completers of teacher and pastoral colloquy programs nationwide, with correspondence requested within four weeks of publication.
