• Monett chess teams earn top. finishes at Fall 2025 Forsyth Open (cassville-democrat.com) — Forsyth High School recently hosted the Fall 2025 Forsyth Open, drawing student chess teams from across southern Missouri and seeing Forsyth’s own squad take first in the K–12 division. Monett’s K–8 team claimed top honors there as well, with several individual players from both schools placing in the top 10. The event is part of the Ozark Mountain Chess League’s regional scholastic competition.
