• Public hearing held on Neosho's water system sale agreement (fourstateshomepage.com) — Neosho officials and residents just weighed in on a proposed $34 million sale of the city’s water and wastewater systems to Missouri American Water during a Missouri Public Service Commission hearing at Crowder College. Supporters say selling secures Neosho’s long‑term water future, while others worry about protecting ratepayers from rising costs. State regulators are expected to decide on the agreement next spring.
   

• Missouri State Board of Nursing awards $150,000 grant to Crowder College (blogspot.com) — Crowder College in Neosho is receiving a $150,000 state nursing grant to develop a hybrid LPN-to-RN program, potentially expanding local training options for future nurses. The award is part of $3.1 million in statewide funding aimed at easing Missouri’s nursing shortage and upgrading technology and faculty support at multiple colleges.
   

• Toni Marie Hill (cassville-democrat.com) — Family and friends are remembering 75-year-old Toni Marie Hill, who attended school in Neosho, graduated from Neosho High School, and worked for years at La-Z-Boy and Dollar General in Neosho before moving to Exeter. She passed away December 6 in Joplin, and her family will hold private services later, with memorial contributions suggested to Solace House of the Ozarks.
