Adopt a Pet: Midnight is Searching For a New Home

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through , an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats.  All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers.  If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area  stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

Midnight is a two-year-old male cat. All Paws volunteers say he is friendly and does well with other cats. Midnight is affectionate and often follows his foster mom around the house. He has thick plush fur and loves to be petted.

Midnight tested positive for FIV.  According to All Paws volunteers, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) can compromise a cat's immune system, making them more suseptible to illness and infections. FIV positive cats should remain indoors and be fed a high quality, high protein diet.

Most FIV positive cats live healthy, normal life spans. FIV cannot be transmitted to people or dogs. It is only transmitted to other cats through a deep bite wound or a blood transfusion. Midnight has had a thorough vet check and is not showing any symptoms of FIV. He is healthy and happy and would very much like to have a family of his own.

All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative.  Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms.
