SCC Presents Spring Lunchtime Entertainment Series

The Student Activities Office at (SCC) has announced its lunchtime entertainment series for the spring 2012 semester. The series will include performances by a variety of musicians with styles ranging from reggae to rock and from funk to R&B.

SPRING 2012 LUNCHTIME ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE:

11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the SCC Café/Bookstore: Hana Pestle. Through her seasoned, bold vocals and outstanding guitar skills, Pestle wins over crowds with her music. Noon Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the Plaza Bistro: David Kirton. Don’t let his long, golden dreadlocks
fool you, David’s sound and aura is far from a typical reggae artist. His music is a unique hybrid of rock, pop and reggae that moves past the reverent Caribbean rhythms of the past and on to the airwaves, dance floors and digital devices of the future. Noon Wednesday, April 4, in the SCC Café/Bookstore: Steve Means. Means’ soulful brew of pop music has earned him a rapidly growing national fan base. His funk-infused acoustic sound has drawn comparisons to everyone from Stevie Wonder to John Mayer, and he’s opened for R&B artists T-Pain and Sean Kingston. 11 a.m. Wednesday-Thursday, April 25-26, on the Campus Plaza: Hey Monea! Fusing a mixture of rock, funk, soul and R&B, Hey Monea! has a way of bringing a fun, party atmosphere wherever they perform.
