O'Fallon Duplex Destroyed By Fire On Monday

An elderly couple was taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation.

Neighbors pulled an elderly O'Fallon couple from the flames, as their duplex caught fire early Monday morning.

According to Fox 2, were called to the duplex on Park Ridge Drive and Danes Park around 12:30 a.m. The couple was taken to an area hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

Scott Avery, public information officer for the , told O'Fallon Patch on Tuesday, that firefighters determined the fire started on the deck and was not suspicious. He added he heard the couple is in good condition and possibly released from the hospital.
