Volunteers are needed for O'Fallon's <a href="http://www.heritageandfreedomfest.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Heritage &amp; Freedom Fest</a>, the city's Independence Day celebration, July 2-4.  "We need over 200 volunteers to help out, whether it's guiding kids through the inflatable obstacle course, driving shuttles, directing people to the main stage, or offering a drink of water in the heat relief tent," Volunteer Services Manager Kathy Halstead said.  Families are encouraged to volunteer together and get the opportunity to see the festival from a whole new perspective.  Volunteers are needed to assist in the following areas: <ul><li>Kid's Area crafts, games, inflatables</li><li>Heat Relief Tent</li><li>Information booth</li><li>Free shuttle line</li><li>Volunteer Hospitality Tent</li><li>Ice delivery</li><li>Parade lineup</li></ul>Volunteers get reserved parking, an event t-shirt and a free meal.
