Community Builder Awards

The Community Council held their annual Community Builder Awards on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters.   The Board of Directors and Staff of Community Council recognizes individuals, groups, and organizations on an annual basis that exhibits the collaborative spirit that makes our network so effective.

Three community groups received recognition at this year's event:

Volunteers in Medicine – Lake St. Louis for launching critical services for the uninsured using the cooperative resources.   SSM St. Joseph West offered financial support; Dr. Maimuna Baig offered free space in her medical building and the support of countless volunteers, doctors and nurses that offer their time and talent.  In 10 short months the Volunteers in Medicine team has registered over 400 patients and completed 1100 office visits to the uninsured in our community.
