Library Hosts Special Reading Program

St. Charles City-County Library District is offering a special reading program that will encourage children in preschool through third grade to reading nonfiction books with male reading role models, according to a press release from the Library District.

The program will run in January and February. The Library District hopes that by showing boys and girls that men who they admire read books, they will be motivated to read themselves.

The library has a suggested reading list so that all parents and children can find books they are interested in ranging from sports to science to poetry. The books will also be on display.
