St. Charles West Students Named Members of Missouri All State Bands

Senior Dustin Cakalic, 17, was named 1st Chair Alto Saxophone for the Missouri All State Concert Band. Cakalic said he has played alto saxophone since sixth grade. He said he tries to practice every day and wants to pursue this in the future. 

"If not as a career, hopefully as a hobby," he said. 

Senior Justin Frazer, 18, was named lead jazz trumpet in the Missouri All State Jazz Band. Frazer has played trumpet since sixth grade and said he tries to practice for at least 30 minutes a day. Frazer said he'd like to earn a performance degree in college, then play for a symphony orchestra or play for movie sound tracks or be a music teacher.
