For the first time, ten area organizations will join forces at the Seventh Annual Walk Run ‘n Roll for People of All Abilities to raise money and awareness for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities in the St. Louis community. Partners are The Center for Autism Education, The Center for Head Injury Services, Community Living, Inc., Emmaus Homes, Giant Steps, Life Skills, Pathways to Independence, the Pujols Family Foundation, Rainbow Village and TouchPoint Autism Services.
The 2011 Walk Run ‘n Roll will be held on Saturday, May 7th in Creve Coeur Park at the Tremayne Shelter, located on the lakefront.
“We believe that through joining together we can create more awareness about people with cognitive and developmental disabilities and their contributions to our community,” said Wendy Sullivan, president of Life Skills.

Corporate teams, families and individuals are invited to walk, run or roll (i.e. skates, wheelchairs, strollers and wagons) for pledged donations. This year’s goal is to raise $200,000 to help people with cognitive and developmental disabilities throughout the St. Louis region.
The Seventh Annual Walk Run ‘n Roll will feature an array of entertainment, including live music, fun activities for the kids such as face painting and a bounce house, and so much more! All guests will also enjoy a free resource and health fair, where area organizations offering services for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities will distribute information and answer questions.
