Lions Earn Second Win In Shutout Over IU-Indy
Lindenwood hosted its home opener on Thursday and earned itself a fun win at Hunter Stadium.

ST. CHARLES, MO -- The Lindenwood Lions scored two first-half goals and played smothering defense throughout the day to earn themselves a 2-0 win against Indiana University-Indianapolis in an NCAA women's soccer game, Thursday afternoon at Hunter Stadium.
Lindenwood got goals on a header in the 28th minute by senior defender Eyglo Thorstenisdottir and on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute by sophomore Anna Johnson, which proved to be more than enough to earn the Lions their second win of the season.
"This was a quality win over a very talented opponent," Lindenwood head coach Dave Musso said. "I'm proud of our team for sticking with the script, doing the hard work defensively, and our in-possession moments are improving each week. We have a lot of new pieces so it's a continued growth mentality with this team."
