Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. St. Louis County has settled a lawsuit for $1.2 million with the mother of an inmate that died at the county's Justice Center in 2019. Daniel Stout was arrested on June 3, 2019 for parole revocation and died eight days later while in custody. According to the lawsuit, the center repeatedly ignored serious medical distress. An autopsy revealed that Stout died from complications of an ulcer that perforated his intestine. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)

According to the department, someone in a black Dodge Charger fired the shots. As of Sunday, the driver is at a local hospital in stable condition; the Lyft passenger was not injured during the incident. (KMOV4)
  3. The St. Louis Cardinals end their magical season with a 2-0 loss against the Phillies on Saturday night. Saturday's game was the last game for Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina. The Phillies will now advance to the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves. (ESPN)
