- Police say one man was shot in Dogtown on Thursday after getting into an argument with a lifelong friend. The incident occurred during a St. Patrick's Day party on Dale Avenue at around 6:45 p.m. The 20-year-old victim was shot in the arm and abdomen, but authorities are unsure how severe his injuries are at this time. (KSDK.com)
- The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra has announced plans for a $100 million renovation and expansion of Powell Symphony Hall. The project will include a 65,000-square-foot addition featuring a new learning center, lobby, and expanded backstage area. Construction is expected to be completed by 2025, in time for the building's 100th anniversary. (Southeast Missourian)
- A new wine bar is slated to open downtown this summer in the building that formerly housed Charleville Brewing Co. In addition to a full bar, Winnie's Wine Bar will offer several wine flights and international draft beer favorites. The 3,000-square-foot space will seat about 80 patrons and also includes a private dining room to accommodate about 20 guests. (Sauce Magazine)
