- On Sunday morning, a 12-year-old girl arrived at an area hospital after accidentally shooting herself in the stomach. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened on the 4000 block of Germania Avenue. The girl arrived at the hospital at around 11 a.m., at which time police were notified and began an investigation. The girl had stable vital signs as of Sunday afternoon. (KSDK.com)
- A rally was held on Saturday in Tower Grove Park to protest Russia waging war on Ukraine. Protestors reportedly held signs with slogans like "Stop Putin" and "Hands Off Ukraine," and sang songs in support of Ukraine. Some attending the protest said they have family in Ukraine. (KMOV.com)
- In the 1990s, St. Louis Circuit Judge David C. Mason found files of "Freedom Suits," which detailed cases of slaves suing for their freedom from the early to mid-1800s. Mason is proud that the decades of research and hard work to honor the many slaves, witnesses, lawyers, and judges are finally coming to fruition in a memorial that will be built on the eastern side of the civic courthouse. The Freedom Suit Memorial will be unveiled on Jun. 20. (KSDK.com)
