19-Year-Old Melvon Smith Killed In North County Shooting

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — Nineteen-year-old Melvon Smith has died after being shot on Sunday in north St. Louis County, Fox 2 reports. Police say Smith and a 17-year-old were both shot around 6:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of Walker Avenue, just to the west of Larimore Park.
Police are now investigating the shooting as a homicide.

Officer Benjamin Granda told Fox 2 that both victims were found in different front yards on the block. Smith died on Monday. The 17-year-old's condition is unknown.
No further information has been released, and police haven't identified any suspects.
