20-Year-Old Man Faces Firearms, Trespassing Charges
Gary Morgan turned himself in, reportedly telling police he didn't remember stealing a gun or pointing it at a convenience store clerk.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Gary Morgan, 20, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, stealing a firearm, and trespassing, St. Louis County Police said Tuesday. According to police, Morgan said he didn't remember stealing his mother's gun or pointing it at a convenience store clerk, but the department posted photos on Facebook, they said, to "jog his memory."
Morgan's grandmother said in a comment on the post that her grandson turned himself in, a fact police did not mention. "Everyone (me included) are so fast to pass judgement, make a harsh statement, comment on someone or something we see on Facebook," she wrote in another post. "We are fast to make statements that hurt people or their reputation forever. Well I'm here to tell you it can destroy a person. It's can lead to thoughts of making bad decisions or even suicide based on what people think of you. It sickens me to think the St. Louis County Police department is doing it on Facebook. I'm ashamed that I've done it in the past. Please think about what you post and remember, it's someones life."
