Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- Abortion rights protestors temporarily shut down I-64 in downtown St. Louis on Sunday afternoon. The protestors were supporting access to abortion services that the overturn of Roe v. Wade took away. The state made abortion illegal moments after the decision was made in June. Both the city and county have announced plans to fund abortion access outside of Missouri. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- St. Louis County Council has created a three-person "working group" to recommend how to spend $74.4 million in federal pandemic aid. The county currently has a $72 million budget deficit. It is currently unclear if the county will get a share of the $45 million from the Rams and NFL settlement. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- St. Louis' Union Station is hosting Luau in the Lou until Aug. 21. The event will feature hula dancers, a concert series, fire breathers, and more. Union Station is also offering a new "all-day pass" for its attractions. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
