- The St. Louis Board of Aldermen discussed raising the salary for an alderperson from $37,000 to $72,000. The discussion comes in response to map changes that would put more people under the responsibility of a single alderperson. (KMOV4)
- A St. Louis pastor was the first spiritual advisor to be beside a death row inmate during a modern execution. A U.S. Supreme Court ruling in March determined that condemned inmates have the right to "laying on of hands" during their execution. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
