Aldi Announces Home Grocery Delivery In St. Louis By Thanksgiving

No more putting quarters in shopping carts.

ST. LOUIS, MO — No more putting quarters in shopping carts. Aldi will soon offer home grocery delivery in St. Louis and nationwide, the discount grocery chain said this week, announcing a partnership with Instacart, a popular online grocery delivery service. Delivery should be available by Thanksgiving.

"Our partnership with Instacart and the expansion of our e-commerce options are more ways we are meeting the growing needs of today's shopper, who wants high-quality food at unbeatable prices," the company's CEO, Jason Hart, said in a statement.

Aldi launched pilot delivery programs in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago over the summer, and the company said the repose has been "overwhelmingly positive."

To take advantage of grocery delivery, customers can visit Instacart.com/aldi or download the Instacart app. Customers can choose a delivery window for when their groceries will arrive. Independent shoppers — akin to Uber drivers — then do the shopping and bring the groceries to customer's doorstep. By using the code "ALDILOVE," first-time Instacart customers can receive $10 off their first three Aldi orders of $35 or more, the company said.
