Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. The St. Louis community is helping complete local teachers' school supply lists through Amazon. The initiative began through the country music radio station 92.3 FM WIL's social media post. Currently, several dozen St. Louis educators have added their lists to the initiative. The lists are for the 2022-2023 school year. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. St. Louis might finally get some rain this week. The Missouri Governor issued a drought alert last week due to half of Missouri experiencing dry conditions coupled with high temperatures. Rain chances increase tonight and into tomorrow. The exact timing of the rain is unclear at this time. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  3. Demetrius Smith has pleaded guilty to charges related to robbing convenience stores and cell phone stores in St. Louis County. The robberies reportedly occurred in Nov. 2018 in Creve Coeur, Bridgeton, Overland Park, and Maryland Heights. Smith's sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 25. (KMOV4)
