  1. An Amber Alert issued overnight Wednesday was canceled Thursday morning after the 10-month-old baby involved was located safely. Police say the infant's 24-year-old mother took the child from Children's Hospital in the Central West End against a protective custody order. As of Thursday morning, the child's mother was in custody and the baby was being treated at a local hospital. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. The SLATE Missouri Job Center has announced the dates of its second annual Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair, which aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and understaffed businesses. The five-day hiring event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 1520 Market Street on three dates in November and two dates in December. Participation is free.
