Here are the top 3 stories in St. Louis today:

  1. St. Louis County lawmakers passed new legislation on Tuesday to extend anti-discrimination protections for non-civil service employees. Councilwoman Lisa Clancy, who sponsored the bill, says that all county contractors and service providers will now be covered under the county's anti-discrimination clauses. Bill 156 also codifies "gender expression" as a protected class. (KSDK.com)
  2. A St. Louis man has been accused of pulling a gun during a robbery that happened at a Kohl's store in Manchester last year. Police say 33-year-old Mercedes W. Gregory brandished the weapon in the store's parking lot after being confronted by a loss prevention officer for stealing merchandise. On Feb. 16, Gregory pleaded not guilty to charges of robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and another robbery-related gun charge. (STLtoday.com)
  3. A local restaurant chain is suing a Chicago-based ghost kitchen concept for using a similar name. Three Kings Public House filed the trademark lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis on Tuesday, claiming that the similarly-named "Three Kings Pub by Dirk Flanigan" is confusing their customers. In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs claim the Illinois ghost kitchen "rode on the coattails" of the successful pub chain in order to capitalize on its success. (STLtoday.com)
