Here are the top stories in St. Louis today:

  1. For the second time in just over a month, St. Louis police are investigating an armed robbery on the grounds of the Gateway Arch downtown. Police say a man and a woman both in their 50s were walking on the grounds at 100 Washington Avenue Wednesday night at 7:40 when a suspect pointed a gun and demanded a wallet. Police say the suspect hit the man with the gun before the victim gave up his wallet. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. A St. Louis CVS employee scared off a man after he tried to rob the store and threatened to pull a gun. The employee asked the man to leave while he was filling a trash bag with store items. When he reached for his waistband, the employee pulled out his own gun. The man dropped the trash bag and ran out of the store, in the 3900 block of Lindell Boulevard. Police say the event took place around 2:47 a.m. (KMOV.com)
