- The Real Estate Tax Assistance fund helps combat the displacement of St. Louis homeowners who are unable to pay their real estate tax bills. After a great start in just over a month, the mayor’s office decided to help RETAF retain more money that will help residents in need. Not only will RETAF help people stay in their homes, but it also builds equity and stabilizes neighborhoods. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- The St. Louis Board of Aldermen voted to send $2.5 million to the city’s Real Time Crime Center on Thursday. Board Bill 206 cosponsor and Vice President for the city’s Public Safety Committee, Alderman Jeffrey Boyd of Ward 22, told News 4 many constituents in his ward requested more Real-Time Crime cameras. Boyd said it’s not clear how many more cameras the money will buy, but the costs have gone down over the years. (KMOV4)
- Some veterans in St. Louis received free home repairs on Friday, courtesy of the Home Depot Foundation, which teamed up with Rebuilding Together St. Louis.
