Attention St. Louis Photographers: Patch Summer Photo Contest

UPDATE: We've extended the deadline until midnight on Sept. 3 to give you some time to snap some photos over labor day.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Attention photographers across St. Louis: Patch is holding its first summer photo contest. Whether you're a landscape, portrait or street photographer, or you just like to snap pics of your kids on the weekend, this is your chance to wow us.

It doesn't matter what kind of camera you have, from a $63,000 medium format monster (drool) to the smartphone in your back pocket. We're not looking for megapixels — what's in front of the camera is much more important that what's behind it. Photos will be judged on creativity, composition and "voice." Bonus point for photos that could only have been taken in St. Louis.

We'll feature your photos from now through the end of August as our photo of the day. The deadline is midnight on September 3. We'll announce a winner the next day. By submitting a photo, you'll also be signed up for our newsletters and breaking news alerts and also entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

Feel free to submit as many photos as you like, just make sure you have the rights to share them and that you're okay with us sharing them on Patch. The winning photographer will also get a $50 Amazon gift card, plus a feature interview on Patch.
