Here are the top 3 stories in St. Louis today:
- The precautionary boil water advisory that was issued for parts of Downtown St. Louis over the weekend has been lifted. The advisory was implemented after a broken water main resulted in low water pressure for portions of St. Louis Water Division's service area. On Tuesday, the division announced that it had conducted several tests of water samples and determined that the water in the affected areas was safe to consume. (Press Release Desk)
- The St. Louis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will once again host its Annual Breakfast with Santa event. The annual toy giveaway for children under 12 will be open to all community members and will take place on Dec. 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Carr Lane Visual Performing Arts Middle School. Each child in attendance will receive a meal, one toy, one book, and a chance to win a bike, while supplies last. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis has been placed "on notice" by the Higher Learning Commission for being at risk of falling out of compliance with accreditation requirements. The university is the only school in the state of Missouri on notice from the commission and only one of two schools nationwide. Harris-Stowe plans to reveal its new strategic plan on Jan. 3, 2023, and the commission will review the university's correction plan in the spring of 2024. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
