- Thousands of St. Louis area students do not have a ride to school due to a bus driver shortage. The lack of transportation is expected to impact the 3,500 students for at least the next two weeks. The shortage is reportedly due to low pay, early retirement, COVID-19 concerns, and low morale. Families can reportedly receive $75 gas station gift cards each week if students have perfect attendance. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- MSD Project Clear is reportedly attempting to improve the St. Louis region's water quality. The new program is called the Clean Water Pledge. Residents can take the pledge while learning about ways to protect the region's water sources. According to the program, residents should keep fats out of the sewer system, dispose of chemicals properly, not litter, pick up after pets, and reduce the use of de-icer during the winter. Click to take the pledge. (KMOV4)
- A new hydropower plant could change the St. Louis region's power source. The plant could also kill off the lake sturgeon fish. The new plant could dramatically reduce the region's reliance on fossil fuels, but the fish's only spawning location is below the dam. (St. Louis Post Dispatch)
