- Construction is set to begin on a new 380-unit apartment building in downtown St. Louis. The $130 million project will convert the 1906 Butler Brothers building, which has been vacant for nearly 20 years, into 384 apartments and 400 underground parking spots. Half of the apartments are expected to open by next summer, with the remainder opening in early 2024. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- The St. Louis Earth Day Festival will return to Forest Park next month following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The free event aims to provide education for a more sustainable future and will include live music, yoga, bird shows from the World Bird Sanctuary, and more. The festival will be held at the Muny Grounds from Apr. 23-24, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(RiverBender.com)
- The American Kennel Club has identified the most popular dog breed in St. Louis. The organization's executive secretary, Gina DiNardo, says the Labrador Retriever is the region's most popular pet and has been for ten years.
