Car Burns In Apparent Fire Bombing In The Hill

ST. LOUIS, MO — Someone appears to have intentionally set fire to a car in The Hill early Sunday morning, according to reporting from KMOV News 4. Surveillance footage obtained by the television station appears to show a figure approach the car, light an object, then toss it underneath. Moments later, the car erupts in flame and explodes.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. in the 5400 block of Bischoff Avenue. Police say an explosive device may have been used. KMOV reports the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms believes the incident may have been a targeted attack.

Police haven't released any further information about the incident. It's not clear if they have a suspect or if charges have been filed.
