Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

  1. Police are investigating after a car crashed into the side of a building early yesterday morning in south St. Louis. Witnesses say the car was seen traveling through a small yard before careening into the north wall of a structure at Gravois and Nebraska Avenues around 12:30 a.m. on Monday. As of yesterday afternoon, officials had not yet released information on the identity of the driver. (KSDK.com)
  2. More than 30 local restaurants are offering $5 taco specials this week in celebration of St. Louis Taco Week. Diners who partake in taco deals at four or more participating eateries between now and Oct. 16 will be entered into a prize raffle. Visit the link or download the “Taco Week” mobile app to discover all available specials and start tallying your tacos! (Riverfront Times)
  3. The city’s unexpected dry spell is slated to end as a series of weather systems brings rainfall to the area today and through tomorrow afternoon. Meteorologists predict up to one inch of precipitation in the region, which would put an end to the area’s rare 16-day drought. Following the rain, colder air is expected to arrive Wednesday night through Friday. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
