ST. LOUIS, MO — Police say at least three people have been carjacked at drive-through AMTs around St. Louis County in recent days, and they are warning citizens to be wary when stopping to make a withdrawal.

The most recent carjacking happened at a U.S. Bank on Gravois Road near Affton, KSDK reports. The victim pulled up the the ATM shortly before 4 a.m., followed soon thereafter by a black, 4-door sedan. Two men with handguns got out of the sedan and stole the victim's Ford Focus.

Police believe the carjackers are targeting people at ATMs during early morning hours, from about midnight to 6 a.m. They urge citizens to be cautions and aware of their surroundings. The carjackers may try to block victims in to prevent them from fleeing, police said.
