Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for an individual in connection with a recent carjacking. The individual was caught on surveillance cameras and the department has shared photos with the public. The incident occurred at the Mobile Gas Station parking lot along St. Louis Avenue on Aug. 9. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the department. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- Ameren has announced plans to build solar generation sites in north St. Louis. The sites are part of Ameren Missouri's Neighborhood Solar Program. Construction will begin in late 2022 with completion expected by the end of 2023. The plan includes building 600 solar panels at the site. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- A new report indicates some St. Louis Bread Co. locations will be switching to Panera. The locations in St. Louis City and St. Louis County will be holding onto the name, but locations in the surrounding area will be making the switch to the national moniker. The chain first started in 1987 in Kirkwood and is a St. Louis staple. (KMOV4)
