  1. An infestation of bedbugs was discovered at the St. Louis County Courthouse on Thursday. Bug-sniffing dogs brought into the courthouse discovered the bugs on a desk chair in what court officials say was an isolated incident. As a precaution, an exterminator was called to disinfect the entire office on Thursday night. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. The St. Louis Board of Aldermen passed a new bill on Friday in an attempt to discourage soda consumption by kids. Board Bill 207, which has been backed by the American Heart Association, makes water, low-fat milk, and juice the default options for drinks in restaurant meal offerings. The bill's sponsor, Alderman Sarah Martin, clarified that the bill is not a mandate and "parents can still order what they would like" for their kids. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  3. A woman and three children who spent hours inside an idling car on Lincoln Avenue were rushed to the hospital on Friday morning. Police say the family, who they believe had been inside the car up to five hours in an attempt to keep warm, was discovered "unresponsive." Investigators are currently working to confirm whether the family suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
