Here are the top 3 stories in St. Louis today:
- The St. Louis County Department of Health has announced that COVID-19 testing sites will be closed today, Feb. 2, and tomorrow, Feb. 3. Normal testing hours will resume on Friday, Feb. 4. The testing centers are being closed as a precaution due to the forecasted winter weather. Anyone with a test scheduled at one of the closed locations will be contacted about rescheduling. (Riverfront Times)
- Harris-Stowe State University has reopened following a bomb threat. The campus was closed for several hours on Tuesday while St. Louis police and the FBI investigated the threat, prompting all classes to be moved to remote learning for the day. The university was one of several historically black colleges and universities across the country to report a bomb threat on Tuesday, the first day of Black History Month. (Kansas City Star)
- An animal rescue group in St. Louis is seeking immediate foster help in advance of this week's forecasted winter storm. St. Louis’ Stray Rescue says it received a massive influx of stray pets this week from a "hoarding situation" and now needs additional volunteers to help shelter the dogs and cats from the cold. If you are unable to foster a pet, the rescue is also looking for supply donations. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
