East St. Louis Teen Fatally Shot Early Thursday Morning

EAST ST. LOUIS, IL — Police in East St. Louis say a teenager was fatally shot early Thursday morning. Fox 2 reports the shooting took place at a gas station on State Street, west of Highway 157. An 18-year-old was shot in the thigh and died before an ambulance could arrive.

Police don't believe the shooting happened at the gas station, but that the teenager's friend drove him there after the shooting in search of help.

No further information has been released.
