Here are the top stories today in St. Louis:
- A Los Angeles man has been convicted for his role in a large-scale drug ring in the St. Louis area. After a long-term investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Gerald Hunter has been identified as the out-of-state supplier for the St. Louis organization. Hunter, 55, was convicted of conspiracy to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl among other charges, all of which could land him anywhere from 10 years to life imprisonment for his crimes. - A scratchers ticket worth $100,000 was sold at a St. Louis gas station. The Missouri Lottery says that the Super Crossword Tripler ticket was sold at the Midwest Petroleum station on Jennings Station Rd., and noted that the winner is the fourth person to claim the game’s top prize. The chances of winning the Super Crossword Tripler are around the same as all other Missouri Lottery scratchers games at one in 3.97 million. (fox2now.com)
- A St. Louis man drowned after trying to swim across the Mississippi River. (Riverfront Times)
- An endangered advisory has been issued for a missing St. Louis County woman, Joyce Johnson, and her two children after she sent a suicide note by text message to her mother on Thursday morning. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- The St. Louis County Library and St. Louis Public Library will begin sharing an integrated library system in 2022, as a way for citizens to more easily access five million items between the two organizations. (Call Newspapers)
