🌱 Fentanyl Suspected In Weekend Overdoses + New COVID Test Sites

Here are the top 3 stories in St. Louis today:

  1. One person is dead following a suspected overdose in the Central West End on Monday. The incident follows the deaths of six more people by suspected overdoses on Forest Park Avenue this weekend. St. Louis Interim Public Safety Director Dan Isom says local and federal authorities are working to identify the origins of the drugs involved, which are suspected to contain fentanyl. (STLtoday.com)
  2. St. Louis County has once again expanded the number of pickup sites for COVID-19 at-home test kits. The tests can now be picked up at the North County Recreation Complex and the Lewis and Clark branch of the St. Louis County Library. Residents must return the kits to one of the three St. Louis County Department of Health testing sites after taking them. (Riverfront Times)
  3. A 2-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl were accidentally shot on Sunday after one of them discovered a gun in her parent's coat. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. at a home in Spanish Lake, where both children were discovered with gunshot wounds to their legs. One girl sustained critical injuries, and the second girl's injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. (KOMU 8)
