Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. St. Louis-area Boy Scouts will be honoring fallen service members this weekend at Jefferson Barracks and eight different Jewish cemeteries. The scouts will be placing 250,000 American flags on graves. More than 5,000 scouts and families will be participating in the Memorial Day event. (KMOV4)
  2. St. Louis will finally be focusing on its pothole backlog. Mayor Tishaura Jones' office reports that 1,458 potholes were repaired by street crews last week. The city assigned 13 crews to the task - significantly higher than the usual 2 to 3 crews that are assigned. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
  3. A new report by WalletHub has listed St. Louis as one of the best summer travel destinations. Its 2020 list is meant to help families plan the perfect summer getaway. The list compared 100 different metros on 43 factors. St. Louis ranked as the 20th best location right behind San Diego, California. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)

  • St. Louis County Parks reminds the community that Food Truck Fest returns on Wednesday, Jun. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at Tilles Park. The Skylark Brothers will be playing live music from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Scheduled food trucks include SNS Goodies, Go Gyro, Go, Wayno’s International, Speedway Eatery, Mother’s on Wheels, and Tipsy Pony adult drink vendor.
