Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- North St. Louis County is cleaning up after intense flash flooding. Residents are sanitizing, clearing debris, and drying property. Florissant's James Eagan Civic Center offered a place for residents to stay while the waters resided. It is unclear whether or not the federal government will declare an emergency for the area. (KSDK.com)
- The Market Street United States Post Office location is experiencing issues after flash flooding impacted the area. An electrical issue in the location's second sub-basement caused a small fire. The office is attempting to provide mail delivery during the ongoing issues but employee safety is their first priority. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- The City of St. Louis will be banning e-scooters in 2023 for the downtown area. The ban will continue to persist due to an increase in downtown crime caused by the scooters. Scooter companies Lime and Bird were notified of the continuing ban. The scooters will still be useable in many city neighborhoods, however. (KSDK.com)
