Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

  1. Former Flordell Hills municipal employees have been indicted by a grand jury for stealing from the city's budget. Former city clerk Maureen Woodson, 68, and former assistant city clerk Donna Thompson, 75, have allegedly stolen $663,000 from the small municipality in north St. Louis County. They have been charged with wire fraud and mail fraud. (Riverfront Times)
  2. The St. Louis County Department of Public Health is distributing water testing kits. The kits are free. The county will also be testing private wells until Aug. 26 for residents impacted by recent flooding events. The testing kits can be picked up at the John C. Murphy Health Center, the South County Satellite Office, and the West County Satellite Office. (KSDK.com)
  3. The St. Louis County Police Department is investigating medical marijuana dispensary robbery attempt. The incident occurred on Tuesday near Florissant around 5:15 a.m. The suspects rammed a car through a dispensary window to gain access. The department has not indicated whether anything was stolen during the attempt. (Fox 2 News)
