Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will be hosting its season-opening free concert on Wednesday in Forest Park at Art Hill. This year's free concert is a return to pre-pandemic programming and is meant as a celebration. Participants will enjoy a glimpse into the orchestra's 2022-2023 season programming during the concert. - U.S. Representative Cori Bush has endorsed St. Louis Board of Aldermen President candidate Alderman Megan Green. Bush joins St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones in endorsing Green. Her opponent Alderman Jack Coatar has been endorsed by former St. Louis mayors Francis Slay and Lyda Krewson. The primary is scheduled for tomorrow and the General Election is scheduled for Nov. 8. - The St. Louis County Police Department has announced that officers will transition to 12-hour shifts on Christmas Day to address recent staff shortages. The announcement was made in a department-wide email by Chief Ken Gregory. He hopes that the longer shifts will improve department manpower and safety. (KSDK.com)
