- The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an incident that resulted in a man being shot while leaving his apartment on Sunday morning. The incident occurred in the 5800 block of Cabanne Avenue. The victim was sitting outside his home when the officers arrived. The man is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. - The National Weather Service reports that the St. Louis region will be experiencing freezing temperatures tonight. The freezing temperatures come less than a month after the region experienced 97-degree heat. According to the National Weather Service, the freezing temperatures might harm crops, vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- The St. Louis County Council is considering a proposal to purchase an old Catholic school. The proposal would use the structure as a focal point for community policing in North County. The county's budget might not support the new project, however, as the county is already in the red financially. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
